The Kalispel, traditionally known as the Qlispé and pronounced (kuh-lee-SPEH), translates to the Camas people, referring to the purple flowers that grow along the banks of the Pend Oreille River and foothills of the Selkirk Mountains. Our stewardship of the land and waters protects our shared natural heritage and creates a sustainable future for generations.
