2021 New Program kickoff
- FHF kicked off its new program called, "Connecting Heroes & Hunters" in February. This program is a targeted mentor and mentee recruiting effort geared towards veterans and first responders. It is a national program lead by Director Rich Cotte. Learn more under "Our Programs" on this site.

2020 - 2021 Covid-19 Impacts
- FHF realized quickly that we needed to adhere to the changing Covid-19 situation. We paused all mentoring in early 2020 except for immediate family members. We set a policy that each mentor must follow their state specific guidelines before mentoring could occur again.

2022 RMEF Grant
RMEF the Tortenson Family Endowment awarded the FHF with a large grant of $100,000 to help deliver our mission of keeping the hunting heritage alive. FHF's partnership with RMEF helps them by being the boots on the ground workforce to deliver both organizations Hunting Heritage missions.

2019 NSSF Grant
The National Shooting Sports Foundation awarded the FHF a $16,000 grant to help with it's R3 mentoring program. The funds will be used to implement mentoring programs in multiple states. FHF will work to establish Chapters and find State leaders to get even more youth and new hunters in the field.

Western Outdoor Hunting Expo- SLC
FHF had a great booth at the Western Outdoor Hunting Expo in Salt Lake City. This is one of the largest shows in the West with an estimated 39,000 folks attending. FHF's Simulated Hunting Nerf Range was again a big success. Thus far, FHF has hosted over 6,000 shooters through our range.

Spokane Bighorn Show
FHF had a booth at the Bighorn Show in Spokane, WA again in 2019. We recruited a lot of new mentors and made connections to get access for taking new hunters to the field. For the second year in a row, FHF recieved the award for the best non-profit booth based on our message, our display and our professionalism. Very proud of our volunteer mentors!

Spokane Shooting Day
The Spokane Chapter of FHF held their shooting day for the second year in a row. It was well attended and youth got to learn how to shot .22 rifles, bows and shotguns. It was a great day!
